DESCRIPTION:Event Name: Piano Recital\nLocation: Southern Cross Burwood – Recording Studio\nSection Number: 23 \nGeneral Category Guidelines:\nEisteddfod grades are based upon grade levels of the Australian Music Examinations Board (A.M.E.B.). \nSection Specific Guidelines:\nPerformances must not exceed 8 minutes (this includes breaks between pieces).\nPerformances will be stopped at 1 minute over time. \nOnly students who are at A.Mus.A. or L.Mus.A. level may participate in this section. \nStudents must play 2 or more pieces\, no more than one movement from a single work\, within this time. \nThe pieces chosen must show contrast in style and period. \nThe repertoire chosen for performance MUST be taken from A.Mus.A\, L.Mus.A or above levels in the A.M.E.B. Syllabus or equivalent. Pieces MUST be submitted with the relevant syllabus and level indicated. \nProvided Equipment:\nGrand Piano and Piano Stool \nJudging Criteria:\n\nTechnical fluency and facility\nIntonation – pitch\, tuning\, tone quality\nRhythm and timing\nSolo performance awareness and communication\nStylistic awareness and appropriate stylistic choices\nDynamics and articulation\nRepertoire is equivalent to A.Mus.A\, L.Mus.A level or above\nTwo contrasting pieces are performed\n\nImmediate Point Deductions:\n\n2 point deduction per 20 seconds over time
